About me

A brief overview.

I was born in the city of Geelong in 1997. In the year 2009 my family moved to Melbourne where I attended the secondary school Yarra Valley Grammar up until my graduation in 2015. Following high school, I worked for several years in the Melbourne radio industry for a variety of radio stations including; Kiis Fm, Fox Fm, Light Fm and more recently 96three Fm. Officially, my career in psychotherapy began in 2023, after recognising that real, meaningful conversation offers me a deep sense of joy and fulfilment.

 

My values and beliefs.  

Growing up in a middle- class Christian (Salvation Army) household, many of my values have been shaped by the church and the church community I grew up around. One of these values includes, the belief that all people, irrespective of their wealth, status or ability, are both unique, and have great potential. For this reason, despite implementing a variety of different approaches (i.e. CBT or PCT), I am drawn to purpose- driven (existential) and strength- based approaches and frameworks.​​​

As I reflect on my life as a teenager and young adult growing up during an era of tech and social media innovation.  I believe the world has become so incredibly efficiently at catering toward short term wants and desires, but falls short in providing the opportunities to discover long term meaning and purpose. Thus, I believe in offering a service that provides both the tools for a young person to create behavioural change with, as well as the opportunity to help them discover the reasons why they might wish to change in the first place; their purpose in life.
