I mean, of course smoking (or in more recent years, vaping) is bad for teenagers, that's pretty well known these days. With the addictive behave increasing one's likelihood of developing cancer, increasing blood pressure levels, developing lung infection, as well as many other development conditions.

However, an interesting mistake that society seems to have made regarding smoking or other addictive substance use is the benefits that these drugs actually have for individual's. For example, did you know that nicotine is well documented to supress anxiety, depression, stress and appetite in individuals (not just teenagers)?

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting if you have anxiety, depression, stress, or wanting to lose weight that you should by a pouch of tobacco. Instead, I'm saying that if you wish to change a behaviour it is important to consider the deeper forcers that are at play in your life; which are leading you toward smoking (or any negative behaviour) in the first place.
